Job Summary
Area Risk Manager II responsible for promoting, training and educating management and commercial drivers in safe practices per Federal regulations, company policy, and industry best practices; consult in developing and implementing training programs for existing accounts and driver safety compliance; audit and report on facilities to ensure safe work practices and compliance; develop and deliver safety orientation training content; ensure completion of driver road tests, drug tests and DOT physicals; investigate accidents and implement improvements, enforce safety/compliance policies; knowledge of OSHA and hazmat requirements; travel required for field responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent with 3-4 years in the transportation industry
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or Communication with 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the transportation industry
- Driver management experience
- Safety experience
- Must travel
- Compliance experience
- Knowledge of OSHA management
- Knowledge of hazardous materials management
