Job Summary
Area Relief Supervisor to support Asphalt plants across the Midlands, responsible for production of Asphalt using a computerised batching system at multiple sites, and for aiding Production and Assistant Production Managers with health, safety and maintenance activities. You will carry out daily checks of safety critical equipment, operate loading shovels to restock storage bins and stockpile aggregate, communicate hazards to Health & Safety and Line Management, ensure production meets customer specifications and technical standards, manage material stocks and supplier reorders, perform environmental permit-related checks, supervise tipper/bitumen/tanker drivers, oversee external contractors, maintain site housekeeping, and coach operational staff to drive improvements. Required Qualifications
- Experience in supervising production operations in a manufacturing or construction materials environment preferred
- Experience with safety and environmental permits compliance
- Experience in stock management and contractor oversight
- Proven ability to coach and develop operational staff
- Competence with computerised batching systems and site safety protocols
