Job Summary
Lead full life-cycle delivery of a defined geographical area or building within the Sizewell C programme, coordinating engineering, construction and commissioning activities to deliver safe, on-time, on-budget results. Define work scope, manage interfaces across the programme, act as Principal Contractor under CDM 2015, develop strategies aligned with the Programme Execution Plan, monitor progress and reporting, drive value through earned value management (EVM) and continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with the project team and external stakeholders. Essential skills include CDM Regulations, PRINCE2/APM, NEC/FIDIC contract management, scheduling, risk and cost control, procurement, and contractor management. Knowledge of nuclear safety and quality approaches is desirable. The role includes leading multi-discipline EPCM projects, engineering design and execution strategies, and a matrixed delivery team with up to 200 contractor personnel; requires proven success delivering projects in complex, regulated environments (ideally nuclear). This is a full-time, permanent position based in Leiston, Suffolk, UK with 5 days onsite.
Required Qualifications
- Essential: CDM Regulations
- Practitioner-level understanding of Project Management (APM or PRINCE2)
- Experience leading: Engineering design and execution strategies; Multi-discipline EPCM projects; Procurement and contract management; Cost, risk, schedule and change control; Commercial claim close-out and negotiation; Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills; Proficiency in estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools; Experience managing contractors and consultants under NEC or FIDIC; Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational capability; Detailed understanding of PWR design and operations; Strong construction management experience
