Job Summary
Start up and shut down all production lines, machines, and equipment while monitoring operations to ensure standards, efficiencies, and product quality are met. Perform minor troubleshooting such as changing grinding wheels and honing stones, conduct quality checks on finished products, and pack items while stacking boxes on skids. Maintain production data electronically, cooperate with team members, and communicate machine or quality issues to supervisors and other shifts. Complete 4 hours of training before submitting your resume.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school
- Ability to lift, load and handle various size production parts with average weights of 35 pounds
- You need to do 4 hours' training before your resume is submitted to the client
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary vocational / technical or trade training
- Previous work experience with machines, hand tools, power tools
- Previous machine operator work experience in an industrial manufacturing facility
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems
- Numeracy skills
- Mathematical aptitude
- Good vision, manual dexterity
- Intermediate computer skills
