Job Summary
Area Manager in the Federal Physical Security unit provides security expertise for an FAA Regional Area, supervising Site Captains and advising ADC Leadership on physical security matters. Responsible for security operations adherence to ADC/FAA policies and procedures, leadership of site security teams, training, performance management, compliance with SOW, facility security plans, and incident reporting. Coordinates communications among FAA Site Captains, ADC Management, and FAA representatives; conducts site inspections, risk assessments, and emergency planning; manages scheduling, budgeting, and administrative duties; requires strong leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills; willingness to travel for FAA sites.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Minimum Education - High School Diploma from a duly accredited institution or a State Issued GED.
- Associates or Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum Security Experience – Five (5) to Ten (10)+ years of progressive experience in Physical Security, Law Enforcement, or Military Asset Protection.
- Minimum Supervisor Experience – Must have two (5) + years of Physical Security, Facility Protection, Law Enforcement, or Military experience at a level commensurate with the FAA scope of work.
- Must successfully pass an extensive county, state and federal criminal background check.
- Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a relevant security clearance if required.
