Job Summary
Area Manager responsible for operational excellence, sales and profit growth, guest satisfaction, and people development across multiple Steak n Shake locations; leads from the floor, partners with General Managers to drive scalability and profitability, and cultivates high-performing teams. Key focus areas include driving labor and food cost management, maintaining food safety and brand protection, coaching and developing staff, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, and traveling between Greenwood-area restaurant locations to sustain district performance.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience
- Multi-unit restaurant management experience required
- Food Safety Certification required
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, sanitation, labor management, and financial controls
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between restaurant locations
