Job Summary
Area Manager leads operational excellence and financial performance across multiple Steak n Shake locations, partnering with General Managers to grow sales, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold brand standards. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, people development, and accountability for labor, food cost, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment, with an ownership pathway toward franchise-partner opportunities and travel between restaurants. Requires multi-unit restaurant leadership experience, strong communication and coaching abilities, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience
- Multi-unit restaurant management experience required
- Food Safety Certification required
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, sanitation, labor management, and financial controls
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between restaurant locations
