Job Summary
Area Manager leads multiple-unit restaurant operations with a hands-on, floor-driven leadership style. Responsible for driving sales and profit growth, developing people, upholding brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction across districts. Key focus areas include operational excellence, culture building, labor and food cost management, and safeguarding food safety. Requires prior multi-unit restaurant leadership, food safety certification, strong coaching and communication skills, and the ability to travel between locations; role demands long hours and active involvement on the floor rather than exclusively office-based management. Implies collaboration with General Managers and potential pathway to franchise ownership, with emphasis on team development, performance metrics, and maintaining high guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Multi-unit restaurant management experience required
- Food Safety Certification required
- College degree preferred or equivalent leadership experience
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, food safety, sanitation, labor management, and financial controls
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to hospitality, operational excellence, and guest satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between restaurant locations
