Job Summary
Oversee workload distribution, customer relations, and coordination with Corporate; manage locating operations including vehicle and equipment inspections, inventory ordering, and disciplinary action oversight. Mentor Supervisors for performance improvement; assist in damage resolution; interpret reports such as PDRs, audits, and production; participate in difficult locate jobs and load management; ensure staff performance through regular reviews and maintain strong communication with the public, contractors, utility representatives, and all under supervision. Requires long hours, possible weekends/holidays, and travel including overnight stays; program includes company-provided Locate Technician training and testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three to five years’ experience
- Experienced in effective leadership in the locating industry
- Comprehensive understanding of underground utility construction and placement
- Successfully complete company provided Locate Technician training program and pass all required testing
- Valid driver license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass random drug screens and to remain drug free
- Computer literate
- Ability to locate
- Excellent communications skills oral and written
- Must be eighteen years of age
