Area Manager - Lexington

Manage, staff, and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area to ensure quality standards and a safe, efficient working environment. Conduct pre-sort meetings to inform employees of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities while maintaining an open line of communication. Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance or attendance issues. Record and manage departures, arrivals, and volume flow from designated Linehauls. Execute administrative duties including safety training, operational audits, and end-of-shift reporting. Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements in daily work practices and maintain a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Report directly to the Operations Manager to oversee all sort activities and volume within the assigned area.
