Area Manager II , OIN9

Lead a team of hourly staff as Area Manager II in Amazon's expanding fulfillment network across first mile, middle mile, and last mile operations. Responsibilities include mentoring and motivating the hourly workforce, managing safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery promises, and collaborating with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to develop plans that meet business objectives. Physical duties include lifting up to 49 pounds, standing/walking up to 12 hours, and navigating environments with variable temperatures and noise, including outside loading areas and stairs. Requires 2+ years of employee/performance management experience or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience; ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, nights, and holidays. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of Lean/Six Sigma/process improvement experience, managing 20+ employees, and degrees in Engineering, Operations, or related fields; extensive experience across retail, manufacturing, distribution, and related industries.
