Job Summary
Area Manager leads a multi-site Alberta Parks Slave Lake Management Area, managing professional, technical, and administrative staff to deliver programs including Municipal and Maintenance Services, Visitor Services, Visitor Engagement, and Recreation and Resource Management. Responsibilities include budgeting, human resources, contracts, and operational planning; liaising with municipal, First Nations, and NGO stakeholders; and ensuring visitor safety and high-quality experiences while adhering to policy and legislative requirements. Requires a university degree in a related field and at least five years of progressive experience; Class 5 Driver’s License and Criminal Record Check are required; on-call after hours during busy periods.
