Job Summary
Area General Manager responsible for owning the relationships with customers for truck sales, service, and parts; leading a team of dealership managers and staff to achieve sales targets and business objectives; overseeing budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and profitability across a multi-site regional operation; optimizing service workflows, pricing, and compliance with safety and OEM standards; building strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders; driving strategic marketing and sales initiatives to increase dealership visibility and customer acquisition; traveling within the dealership network up to 50% to ensure regional performance and continuous improvement across operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
- four-year degree is preferred
- Five years management experience
- multi-site commercial vehicle dealerships or similar business structure
- Demonstrated success leading commercial truck dealerships, heavy equipment dealerships, transportation businesses, or comparable multi-location operations
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR)
- Ability to travel up to 50% to other locations in the dealership network
