Job Summary
Area Engineering Manager role in Warrington leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver Stage 3 Define phase and optimise Stage 2 Appraise, producing Stage 3 Preliminary Design. Accountable for preliminary design assurance, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and delivering agreed design deliverables; manage DSA team outputs; identify and allocate resource demand to meet project milestones; interface with other Project Discipline Leads and site clients/stakeholders; support Stage 4 delivery estimates and input into supplier engagement during Define phase. Requires an engineering background with proven delivery across the full project lifecycle, experience in a regulated/quality-assured environment (preferably nuclear), knowledge of governing laws and NEC3 terms, and familiarity with cooling systems and CE&I power distribution. Ability to obtain UK security clearance (SC level) is anticipated; residency criteria apply.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering background with a proven record of successful delivery
- Significant experience in an engineering design environment
- Recent experience within a regulated and quality-assured system (preferably nuclear)
- Knowledge of governing laws, regulations, and standards for the nuclear industry
- Experience with Project System Engineering and system engineering approach to design
- Familiarity with NEC3 contract terms and conditions
- Experience in delivery of projects related to cooling systems and CE&I power distribution

- Residency criteria to attain minimum UK security clearance if not already cleared to SC level
