Job Summary
Area Director position in Prosper, TX for Young Life. Responsible for leading ministry initiatives, recruiting and training staff and volunteers, developing spiritual growth plans, and overseeing programs such as clubs, Campaigners, and camps. Core duties include leadership development, donor relations and fundraising, program planning, and ensuring Gospel proclamation across the local area. Key tasks include casting vision with the regional director and committee, building leadership teams, coordinating events and summer staff, and maintaining a ministry strategy to reach every kid. Requires strong leadership, relational, analytical, and communication skills, ability to supervise multiple clubs/volunteers, and commitment to confidentiality. Education: College degree preferred. Training and ongoing educational opportunities are part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Requires 1+ year of related ministry experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams
- Proven leadership skills
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults
- A call to reach kids with the Gospel
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must complete Core Training - Phase One within 36 months of hire date
- Education: College degree preferred
