Job Summary
Area Director, Pricing leads the pricing strategy and margin-management for the area, guiding local pricing decisions and coordinating with Area Staff and Local Sales leadership. The role manages and develops a team of direct and indirect reports, coaches pricing and margin for area staff and sales, analyzes factors affecting gross and net margin (COGs, freight, PA, and marketing activities), leads commodity and KVI processes, supports bids and new customer pricing, and collaborates on pricing enhancements and system/process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of pricing experience
- Previous leadership experience
- Strong managerial experience
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Executive presence and ability to communicate and influence across functions and senior stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel with potential overnight stays
