Job Summary
Monitor compliance of administrative functions and policies with regulatory agencies, including Medicare surveys, while maintaining current copies of all applicable regulations and statutes. Collaborate with the Medical Director, Clinical Manager, and Executive Director to ensure survey readiness and implement initiatives to enhance revenue performance. Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospice program, managing financials, payroll, quality assurance, admissions, and staff training while providing leadership for clinical services across home, hospital, and nursing home settings. Supervise the volunteer program and represent the company in the community by managing public relations and resolving patient complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile liability insurance coverage
- Unencumbered and active RN license in state of residence
- Familiarity with state and federal guidelines and regulations
- Working knowledge of budget development, financial profit/loss process, and human resources
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Well organized and confident to work independently, but is a team player
- Ability to communicate clearly to remote field, mid-level, and executive staff
- Exercises professional judgment and demonstrates good problem-resolution skills
- Very comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and manage conflicting priorities
- Strong follow-up skills
- Three years previous managerial experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience reviewing data in electronic systems
Desired Qualifications
- RN Degree
- Bachelors' degree in Business Related field
- Two years in healthcare service industry
- Experience with HomeCare-HomeBase
