Job Summary
Area Director of Marketing and Business Development for multiple shopping centers, responsible for revenue generation through sale of mall assets and media assets, and for creating, developing, and implementing the overall strategic marketing direction. Manages marketing and selling assets to consumers, advertisers, and local business communities; develops retailer-intensification strategies; promotes platform program opportunities to retailers; executes national/regional SBV programs; creates annual marketing budgets; forecasts and optimizes marketing spend by ROI analysis; develops and executes annual marketing plans aligned with corporate objectives; coordinates visual merchandising, signage, and advertising; drives social media growth and data capture (SMS, Email). Requires a BA/BS in Sales/Marketing or related field, 4-6 years in sales/marketing roles, strong communication and negotiation skills, leadership and coaching ability, and willingness to travel; occasional weekend/evening work and multi-project management. Location: Whitehall, PA (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- BA or BS degree with emphasis in sales, marketing, or business
- 4-6 years previous experience in sales, sponsorship, strategic marketing, event management, and budgeting
- Knowledge of retail management, marketing and advertising and working knowledge of the media industry
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others
- Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings
- Strong team building and coaching skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Some overnight travel required
- Ability to think strategically
