Job Summary
Area Director HR in Indianapolis, IN serves as a trusted HR advisor to Area Staff and local management, aligning HR strategy with business objectives and advising on complex employee relations. Responsibilities include driving area results, influencing business strategy with HR input, communicating new policies across the area, talent planning and performance management, conducting investigations of complex employee relations issues, advising Area Leaders with Region partners, overseeing organizational structure design, and facilitating change initiatives. Travel up to 10% to domiciles and events; office based in one of the area markets. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR (or equivalent), 7+ years HR experience with rising responsibilities, labor relations experience, and strong relationship-building at senior levels; PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7 years of Human Resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Labor Relations experience required
- PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record
- Experience leading HR in a multi-site environment
- Ability to build relationships at senior levels
