Job Summary
Area Director leads and is accountable for operations of assigned Clubs under the Vice President of Youth IMPACT, serving as a senior member of the program leadership team. Responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to staff and club members, hiring/training/supervising staff, designing and overseeing club programs with core areas in Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership, Sports/Fitness/Recreation, The Arts, and Academic Success; planning and evaluating annual program goals using the IMPACT model; ensuring timely reporting and compliance; managing expenditures and income related to memberships and fees; maintaining safe, clean facilities; marketing programs to families; building community relations; and overseeing safety, registration, and attendance. Requires a four-year degree (master's preferred), at least three years of management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, strong communication and leadership skills, and a valid driver's license with auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university
- Masters preferred
- Minimum of three years management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Group leadership skills
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
- Personal vehicle, valid driver’s license and auto insurance
