Job Summary
Area Director, Business Development responsible for shaping market strategy and leading development initiatives in solid waste infrastructure, including acquisitions, divestitures, privatizations, and organic growth. Drives strategic market planning, coordinates with sales and revenue management, oversees due diligence and closing processes, leads project management from concept through development cycles, and manages real estate transactions. Requires leadership of cross-functional teams, ability to analyze financial data and budgets over multi-million dollars, and travel up to 30% to support Area operations and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of general business experience
- Experience in strategy, project, infrastructure and/or real estate development
- Experience managing a project budget in excess of $5 million
- Experience managing a project team of professional functional experts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and prepare financial reports
