Job Summary
Lead, coach, and manage individuals and teams across multiple communities to supervise daily home construction operations and ensure optimal performance. Provide ongoing training on warranty issues, scheduling, and quality control while overseeing trade partner activities and job site inspections. Conduct performance appraisals, manage departmental budgets, and partner with municipality inspectors to secure timely approvals. Maintain records of change orders, approve invoices, and ensure compliance with building codes and stormwater policies. Work in-person at construction sites and offices during regular hours, requiring physical stamina to operate in confined quarters and lift equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project/construction management in residential construction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in directing, coordinating, and supervising construction staff
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Valid auto insurance coverage
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and document management
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office products (Word and Excel)
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to read plans
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to operate construction equipment
- Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
- Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
