Job Summary
Area Clinical Specialist, RN role overseeing the delivery and coordination of resident clinical services at the community, supervising the nursing department, directing performance within state regulations, onboarding Wellness Directors, and providing clinical assessments and medication-management oversight. Requires RN or LPN licensure, leadership experience in nursing teams, travel to various communities, and availability for on-call coverage; responsibilities include interviewing/hiring/training, scheduling, budgeting, charting, family communication, and marketing support within the community.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an RN or LPN
- minimum 1-year experience in senior housing and/or geriatric nursing
- minimum 2 years’ experience as Director of Nursing or Wellness Director with demonstrated success in leading nursing teams
- ability to travel to various communities within the assigned market
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to become certified within 90 days)
- read, write, and speak English fluently
- ability to be on call, and occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays
