Job Summary
Lead, develop and manage associate veterinarians across assigned Banfield hospitals to attract, develop, engage and retain doctors delivering quality care aligned with Banfield’s standards. Acts as Responsible Veterinarian for veterinary and pharmacy board permits as required, manages controlled substance inventory, drives doctor engagement and retention, provides medical leadership to hospital teams, conducts medical record reviews and quality assessments, and ensures delivery of high-quality veterinary care. This 100% hospital-based working-management role involves partnering with Practice Managers to meet KPIs, foster an inclusive culture, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition. Requires DVM/VMD, licensure in good standing, and 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery; some travel to assist other area hospitals and for vendor/education activities is possible.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure
- 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery
