Job Summary
Drive daily replenishment duties and monitor key inventory KPIs including service levels, days-inventory-on-hand, and spoilage. Analyze economic order quantities and forecasts to create efficient purchase orders, executing forward-buy opportunities to achieve profitability. Proactively review out-of-stock reports to make purchasing decisions and secure substitute products, while establishing communication with suppliers to recover order shortages. Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, and category management teams to optimize freight consolidation, reduce overstock, and ensure complete customer order fulfillment. Participate in team-based continuous improvement initiatives to refine standard processes.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of direct inventory management/supply chain experience
- superior oral and written communication
- strong analytical skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers, sales, field partners and other business contacts via telephone, email, and video conferencing
- Must have a general understanding of logistics and connection in support of an efficient distribution model
- Must be able to deal with high pressure situations to meet daily/weekly timelines with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to function in Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to commute to US Foods location (Seabrook, NH)
- Must be located near a US Foods location
- work EST hours

- Four-year degree
- SCPO experience
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
- food service experience
- Equivalent work experience and applicable certifications (Military Service, APICS, CPM, etc.)
