Job Summary
Area Business Manager for PayGo Phones responsible for driving phone sales through ATD Agents, recruiting and onboarding new ATD Agents, managing inventory and replenishment with Sun King, coaching agents to hit daily/weekly/monthly targets, ensuring proper PayGo activation and repayment procedures, coordinating phone replacements/warranty, and leading local trade activations (roadshows and demos). Requires field-based recruitment/onsite training, strong knowledge of the assigned territory (urban, peri-urban, rural), proficiency with Android devices and CRM/Excel/WhatsApp, and the ability to develop agents, manage stock, and deliver performance reports. Location is Arusha, Tanzania with onsite work obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a diploma or degree in a business-related field
- at least three years of field sales experience in FMCG, microfinance, mobile money, or telecommunications
- experience recruiting, managing, and developing independent agents or micro-distributors
- proficiency with Android smartphones, CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, WhatsApp or other basic reporting tools
- willingness to work extensively in the field and resolve operational and customer-related issues
