Job Summary
Area Business Manager, Rare Diseases in the UAE/Gulf markets drives patient identification, market development, and commercial performance for Biogen’s Rare Disease portfolio. Oversees territory/account plans, builds partnerships with neurologists, treatment centers, diagnosis centers, KMEs, and other stakeholders; collaborates with Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align execution; focuses on patient access, diagnosis pathways, and removal of barriers to care; maintains CRM documentation and compliance, required to navigate cross-functional environments, and to communicate clinical information effectively in both Arabic and English.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant university degree; Master’s degree is an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience within the Gulf region pharmaceutical market environment
- Commercial experience across the UAE; broader Gulf experience desirable
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales objectives
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influence, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Excellent analytical and business planning capabilities
- Ability to work effectively across a matrix organization and lead through collaboration
- Strong scientific aptitude with the ability to discuss complex clinical information confidently
- Arabic and English language proficiency required
