Job Summary
Recruit and develop a high-performing sales team of seven Senior Oncology Account Managers to exceed quarterly performance targets in the North-Center Spain region. Design and implement area-specific sales strategies that align with brand objectives, leveraging deep market insights to drive product utilization and revenue. Cultivate key business relationships with major health systems, hospital pharmacists, and oncologists by executing strategic account plans and building brand awareness for Revolution Medicines' RAS-targeted therapies. Coach staff on ethical standards, skill-building initiatives, and continuous development while collaborating cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access to develop account plans. Manage all resources within budget, synthesize high volumes of data to guide regional development, and act as a conduit for field-based market information to home office leadership.
Required Qualifications
- MA/MS/BA/BS degree
- 20 years of biopharma industry experience
- 10+ years prior experience leading an oncology sales team
- Proven track record of product launch success in the oncology therapeutic space
- Experience launching oncology products with companion diagnostics
- Proven performer in highly competitive marketplaces
- Proven performer in solo-representative selling environments
- Demonstrated success operating in small/midsize biotechnology environments
- Ability to meet territorial travel requirements
- Ability to travel to meetings/training/programs, as necessary
- Proven effectiveness in highly collaborative & cross-functional working environments
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in small to midsize biotech space
- Must permanently reside in the territory for which they are accountable
- Self-directed and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to set priorities and work towards tight timelines with a willingness to travel, mainly within Germany, up to 60% of time
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably 10+ years prior experience leading an oncology sales team
- Preferably experience in the GI and/or NSCLC oncology space
- Expert knowledge of all relevant topics (i.e. marketing, training, market access, business of oncology, distribution, data-acquisition, etc.) to this role
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD)
- Oral Oncolytic product launch experience is preferred
- Strong organization, planning, project management, technical and analytical skills
- Other related experience (e.g., sales operations, market research, market access, etc.)
- Ability to work independently to execute strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines
- Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success
- Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, a structured approach to tasks and a professional appearance is essential to embody the core values from Revolution Medicines
- Flexible team member who can handle ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast-growing organization embracing a positive attitude towards change, able to operate within agreed financial budgets
- Delivers compelling presentations to individuals and groups, adapting messaging to maximize audience engagement
- Highly proficient in Microsoft suite including Powerpoint, Excel, Word
