Job Summary
Implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations to all students through grade-relevant, subject matter-specific curriculum. Develop and implement lesson plans and activities via in-person and virtual learning, while assessing, documenting, and preparing reports on student achievement and attendance. Supervise student behavior, communicate with parents and district personnel, and collaborate with team members to create a safe, engaging learning environment. For special education roles, identify needs, instruct based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), serve as case managers, and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved accredited college or university in the relevant educational field
- Valid Professional Standards Commission-approved teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field
- Special education teachers who issue grades must hold appropriate certification in service (e.g., special education, adaptive curriculum, and/or special education general curriculum)
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved subject-specific endorsements
- Minimum education requirements based on CTAE Specializations
- Must pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment
- Minimum two (2) years of verifiable industrial work experience
- Industry licensure
