Area 4 Elementary Schools_ Nurse, School (RN/ LPN) (Panola Way ES) 2026-2027

Under direct supervision, provides health/medical services to designated students in an effort to minimize absences due to illness and create a climate of health and well-being in the schools for the DeKalb County School District. Performs student health procedures and assists students with administration of medication; conducts respiratory assessment and tracheostomy care if needed; reports health matters to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies; maintains up-to-date health records; observes students to detect health needs; works one-on-one with assigned students and travels with them on the bus to classes and activities; maintains responsibility for emergency care of students; advises on modification of the education program to meet health needs; prepares and submits reports for the lead nurse and principal; performs other duties as assigned.
