Job Summary
Plan and deliver educational instruction to diverse learners, including those with special needs, in line with state and district standards, and create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes academic success, physical fitness, and life skills for global citizenship. Teach grade 3 using in-person and virtual instruction; develop and implement lesson plans; assess and report progress; communicate with families; supervise paraprofessional staff; direct work of instructional aides when needed; manage behavior per the Student Code of Conduct; collaborate with district personnel, students, and parents; participate in conferences; attend professional development; ensure IEP goals are implemented for students with disabilities; adhere to Georgia ethics and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC approved accredited college or university in the relevant educational field
- Valid Professional Standards Commission approved teaching certificate in the appropriate educational field
- Special Education certification (e.g., Special Education, Adaptive Curriculum, and/or Special Education General Curriculum)
- Endorsements in ESOL & Gifted (Georgia PSC)
- CTAE requirements where applicable
- GACE Education Ethics Assessment compliance
- Minimum two (2) years of verifiable industrial/work experience (if applicable)
