Job Summary
Plan and lead daily robotics and engineering activities, including building robots, coding, and designing projects for campers ages 8-17. Provide instruction and guidance in a safe environment while ensuring camper well-being and maintaining equipment supplies. Collaborate with staff to execute special events and field trips, communicate progress to parents, and model teamwork and respect. Adhere to camp rules and attend all training sessions. This summer role offers a competitive salary plus room and board for enthusiastic individuals with robotics experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a camp setting
- Knowledge and experience in robotics and/or engineering
- Enthusiasm for working with children and promoting their personal growth and development
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- CPR and First Aid certification (or be willing to obtain before start date)
- Must be eligible to participate in the J1 Camp Counselor Program
