Job Summary
AR DMS-registered Ultrasound Technologist sought for Loyola Medicine's General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging teams. Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, assist with breast ultrasound–guided biopsies, document and evaluate images, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses. Primary location coverage includes Loyola Medicine with rotational assignments at Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, and Tinley Park. Requires ARDMS registration, an AMA-approved two-year ultrasound program (CAAHEP-accredited), or equivalent training; CPR (AHA); RDMS with Abdomen, Ob/Gyn, or PS specialization. New graduates or those with less than one year of experience are considered with a structured clinical hours requirement. Strong communication, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered care are essential.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS-registered Ultrasound
- Associate Degree in Ultrasound or AMA approved Sonography program
- Graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program or equivalent training
- Licensure/Certifications: CPR (AHA) and RDMS with Abdomen, Ob/Gyn or PS specialization
- New Graduates: 9-month ultrasound coursework with clinical rotation totaling at least 1,680 hours
- Proficiency in ultrasound principles, practices, and techniques
- Experience in General Ultrasound and Breast Imaging preferred
- Strong attention to detail and patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams
- Ability to document and evaluate ultrasound images and related data
- Ability to ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort
