Job Summary
Conduct archival and historical research using primary and secondary sources to support interpretive programs, exhibits, publications, and special projects for Pullman National Historical Park. Assist with museum and collections planning, including assessments, catalog review, storage and exhibit planning, and coordination for future management and interpretation of museum and archival collections. Develop research summaries, historical background materials, and interpretive content for exhibits, educational materials, and digital media. Provide visitor center interpretive support, including conducting guided tours, staffing the visitor center, and assisting with public programs and special events. This role involves 25 hours per week with a total funding duration of 1300 hours.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree
- Knowledge of archival research methods
- Knowledge of historical documentation
- Knowledge of museum collections planning
- Knowledge of interpretive principles and practices
- Familiarity with museum cataloging
- Familiarity with storage
- Familiarity with exhibit planning
- Familiarity with collections management concepts
- Ability to prepare research reports
