Job Summary

Catalog and preserve historical data and artifacts for ease of retrieval while gathering requested materials for the company and family. Present the history of the TABASCO brand, McIlhenny family, and Avery Island to visitors and maintain exhibits at the TABASCO Museum and Visitors Center. Proofread and edit various short documents prepared by the Archives, completing other duties as assigned. Work 10-20 hours per week as a college student majoring in History to assist the Historian with archival projects. Join a family-owned company with over 150 years of pepper expertise that produces TABASCO® Brand products sold globally.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently attending college
  • Pursuing a major or minor in History
  • Be able to work 10-20 hours a week
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Desired Qualifications

  • Be a Junior or Senior History major
  • Be pursuing a graduate or post baccalaureate degree in History
