Job Summary
Manage the acquisition, organization, and cataloging of archival materials from municipal administration and incorporated municipalities, including the digitization of records for the electronic municipal archive. Provide written and oral access to records while overseeing the technical maintenance of storage facilities and conducting historical education programs. Actively participate in the space planning and furnishing of the city archive as it relocates to a new building. Work full-time or part-time in the Lessingstadt Kamenz city archive, which holds over 2,000 linear meters of historical collections dating back to the 15th century.
Required Qualifications
- abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Bachelor/Master/Diplom) in Archivwesen, Geschichte, Geschichtswissenschaften oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung
- eine abgeschlossene archivfachliche Ausbildung mit der Bereitschaft, einen entsprechenden Hochschulabschluss berufsbegleitend zu erwerben
- sehr gute EDV-Kenntnisse
