Job Summary
Lead the development, design, and delivery of Federal architecture projects from concept through construction while serving as the primary client contact to ensure alignment with mission, budget, and community goals. Partner with firm leadership to establish a strategic growth plan and pursue new business opportunities through proposals and presentations. Direct project teams to maintain design quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to schedule and budget, while mentoring staff in federal design principles and project leadership. Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintain oversight of key milestones, and promote cross-sector innovation through collaboration with other practice leaders. Maintain knowledge of trends in public architecture, including sustainability, resilience, and accessibility. Some travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Architecture
- Licensed Architect (RA)
- 10+ years' experience with a proven track record of pursuit success in the Federal market
- Proven success in business development and client relationship management within the federal sector
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading, guiding, and mentoring a team
- Some travel
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- NCARB certification
- Experience with 3D visualization software (SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, or similar)
