Architectural Technologist (intermediate)

Job Summary
Produce technical design and contract documents in compliance with Owner’s requirements, collaborating with project teams to ensure designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, codes, and regulations. Provide technical design solutions for facility construction including interior and exterior assemblies; coordinate with internal production teams and project sub-consultants; provide technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced staff; assist with contract administration including site visits and working with construction contractors; apply current energy and sustainability requirements in Canada; utilize REVIT and BIM workflows; contribute to full tender-ready drawing packages and coordination across disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in architectural and building technology from an accredited technical college
- 5+ years’ working as an Architectural Technologist for an Architectural consulting firm
- Experience in commercial, institutional, transit, or industrial project types
- Demonstrate substantial product knowledge, and an ability to detail architectural building systems, and put together full drawing packages suitable for tender
- REVIT software experience is necessary
- Preference given to candidates with understanding of BIM principles & workflows; Microsoft 365 environment; construction site experience; and Bluebeam
