Architectural Technologist

Job Summary
Set up CAD/REVIT job files, plot plans, and working drawings for new stages and plan options. Apply for architectural approvals and building permits while liaising with sales, construction, and trade partners on change orders and drawing concerns. Review engineering, roof, and floor layouts against completed documents to resolve onsite construction issues and ensure compliance with city by-laws. Produce marketing brochures, tender drawings, and master job lists; maintain electronic folders for Design Spec Changes and AIMs. Provide training to team members and stakeholders on production procedures. Maintain relationships with local city contacts to improve permit turnaround times.
Required Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Architectural Technologies, Civil Engineering or other related field
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Strong knowledge of industry, building code, and government requirements
- Strong proficiency using MS Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT
- Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing priorities
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
