Job Summary
The Sales Representative I role supports Wells’ sales and marketing processes, focusing on prospecting and developing profitable precast projects. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing opportunities, building client relationships with owners/architects/engineers/GCs, assisting with estimating and project coordination, preparing bid materials, maintaining sales pipelines, developing materials and case studies, and representing the company at meetings, industry events, and tradeshows. The position participates in early-stage project development and collaborates with estimating, engineering, and marketing teams to drive successful project pursuits. Qualifications emphasize a related dual focus on construction knowledge and relationship-building, with experience in precast or construction environments and proficiency in modeling tools (e.g., SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD) and MS Office. The role requires occasional visits to active plant/field locations, adherence to PPE, and the ability to communicate effectively in meetings and presentations. Required Qualifications
- 2-4 year degree in construction, business, marketing, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Exposure to precast, construction, drafting, production, or related industry experience preferred
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and bid documents
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar modeling tools preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present information clearly in meetings and presentations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with ability to operate a motor vehicle
