Job Summary
Architectural Services Project Manager role in Chicago, IL, responsible for promoting door hardware specification services (Division 8 and 28) to architectural accounts, managing project lifecycles from SD to CA, developing scope of services, procuring specification opportunities, and delivering projects on time, within scope and budget. Will collaborate with local project sales, maintain product knowledge, adapt to market changes, ensure compliance with Allegion policies, and travel up to 50% within the territory. Requires 5+ years in PM/architecture/construction or door hardware consultancy, HS diploma (Bachelor's preferred), and strong communication and stakeholder management. The role emphasizes selling architectural consulting opportunities, promoting Allegion brands, and managing risk and quality control across project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, architecture, construction management, or door hardware consultancy required
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory (Chicago, IL), limited overnight travel
- Basic understanding of security systems integrations and electronic components
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action
- Strong customer service focus
