Job Summary
Architectural Sales Engineer leading landmark landscape architectural systems projects from design development through final award. Drive specification-based sales by influencing architects and landscape architects, coordinating with internal design development, CAD, project management, and scheduling teams, and collaborating with general contractors and subcontractors. Manage long-lead projects, maintain executive relationships within the architect–GC–subcontractor triad, deliver technical guidance on structural attachments, wind uplift, and load performance, and present technical solutions to achieve basis-of-design specifications and project awards. Position emphasizes a non-transactional, long-cycle sales approach with monthly/quarterly revenue targets, CRM-driven pipeline management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to integrate lighting, seating, guardrails, and other modular system components into project drawings.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in architectural product sales, landscape architectural products, site furnishings, building envelope systems, structural systems, architectural metals, or related construction products
- experience navigating architectural sales evolution, getting products specified, and achieving award of project
- experience across the full building lifecycle (design → bid → award)
- ability to read and interpret architectural plans
- technical literacy with load-bearing systems or structurally attached products
- familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
- experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, NetSuite)
- LEED Accreditation (preferred)
- CDT certification (preferred)
- AIA CEU presentations (preferred)
- PMP Certification (preferred)
