Architectural Project Manager

Job Summary
Lead site feasibility, zoning reviews, and code analysis before lease signing to make go/no-go decisions on new campuses. Manage permitting across multiple jurisdictions, coordinate civil engineers and architects of record, and juggle several projects simultaneously without missing deadlines. Research furniture and equipment specifications, build vendor lists, and identify value engineering wins while developing diligence playbooks for future site evaluations. This role requires 5+ years in architectural project management with deep knowledge of building codes, ADA, and fire safety. Fluency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Asana is essential. Primer is a network of K–8 schools restoring the foundations of American education.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in architectural project management, interior design, or something close, with real ownership from design through construction
- Deep knowledge of building codes, ADA, fire life safety, zoning, and permitting across multiple jurisdictions
- Fluency in 3D Modeling Software, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe InDesign, Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam, or equivalent, plus comfort with project management tools (Asana)
- The ability to run multiple projects and vendors at once without losing a thread
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building design standards or prototypes for multi-location rollout (a big plus)
- Background in schools, retail, or hospitality, anywhere physical space matters to the people using it
