Job Summary
Lead the full architectural lifecycle for terminal commercial spaces at San Diego International Airport, including retail storefronts, food halls, and full-service restaurants; coordinate TI and core-and-shell infrastructure with base-building systems (MEP, structural, life safety) while managing schedules, budgets, and field logistics in an active terminal. Serve as primary liaison between airport authorities, franchise operators, and multidisciplinary teams; ensure compliance with TSA/FAA and health department codes; oversee RFIs, submittals, and field conflicts; mentor internal teams and global collaborators. Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture with 7–20+ years of aviation/airport experience, Revit/AutoCAD/Bluebeam expertise, and Licensure preferred; roles may involve hybrid on-site work at San Diego, Scottsdale, or Dallas offices with travel to the SD project as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 7–20+ years of professional architectural experience, with a proven track record in aviation or airport terminal projects
- Direct experience coordinating Tenant Improvements (TI) and core-and-shell infrastructure for retail or F&B environments
- Expert-level command of Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Deep understanding of commercial kitchen design, food service codes, and airport authority standards
