Job Summary
Architectural Production Specialist responsible for reading and interpreting floor plans, coordinating plan production, and ensuring adherence to building codes and jurisdictional requirements. Focuses on plan modification, model-based coordination, and maintaining accurate data across internal updates and permitting/home-start processes. Requires effective communication with internal teams, adaptability to new architectural software (including HighArc, Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD Architecture concepts), and strong attention to detail in line with drafting standards and residential construction practices. Positions support collaboration across the team and can involve local travel to communities for prototype and reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in CAD, Architectural Technology, or equivalent technical training a plus.
- Knowledge of residential construction and construction terminology.
- Familiarity with construction documents, drafting standards, and architectural best practices.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in HighArc or experience with Revit and/or SketchUp for residential plan development, design modifications, and 3D visualization a plus.
- Understanding of AutoCAD Architecture concepts such as walls, windows, doors, and viewports (conceptual familiarity; practical use not required).
- Local travel to communities for prototype and community reviews may be required.
