Job Summary

Architectural Planner II focused on facilities planning and management, responsible for detailed analyses of project productivity and efficiency, long-term estimates, and development of space planning concepts from planning through project implementation. Drives needs assessments, proposes efficiency improvements, supports and leads project management initiatives, and develops technical planning documentation for presentations and negotiations with business units. Works to maximize space use and aligns with WashU Medicine directives to support research, teaching, and clinical needs; participates in scheduling, documentation, RFQs, and contract-related activities while representing the department professionally and diplomatically. Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with extensive experience in physical planning and a strong mix of architecture, civil engineering, urban planning, data management, and leadership capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience
  • 8 years of Physical Planning experience
  • Education in related field as applicable
  • Experience in architecture/civil engineering/urban planning domains
