Job Summary
Lead a team of 3-6 in-house Designers in an office-based role; review, mark-up, and approve full sets of architectural, structural, MEP, and plumbing plans for buildings; optimize designs for fabrication, transport, and cost efficiency; secure state and third-party approvals nationwide; mentor 3–6 corporate designers and share building-code expertise company-wide; collaborate daily with clients, engineers, plants, estimators, and dealers. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD 3D, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Adobe InDesign; strong knowledge of IBC/IRC, IMC, IPC, and IEC; fluent English (Spanish a bonus). Preferred: experience with wood, steel, or hybrid construction methods and prior work on military projects (SCIF or security clearance-related).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
- Active Registered Architect license (Arizona required; willingness to pursue licensure in additional states is a plus)
- NCARB certificate with portfolio of completed projects
- Demonstrated experience in building design, including life safety egress plans, calculations, and basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
