Job Summary

Develop Morin shop drawings from customer-submitted drawings and specs by interpreting structural and architectural plans to produce floor plans, elevations, and details per company standards. Coordinate panel analysis with engineering personnel, conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bills of materials, and produce bill of material lists from approved sets. Review and update drawings for customer redline corrections, develop standard details and manuals in 2D and 3D, and create product submittals for new projects. Interface with internal and external stakeholders, assist sales staff and architects with project questions, and ensure compliance with company policies. Work full-time Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional travel for training or customer relations.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree (or higher), Technical degree or appropriate level of related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings
  • Proficient in the use of CAD and Revit
  • Good communication and mathematical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve with minimal supervision
  • Occasional travel may occur for further training or to enhance customer relations
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience preferred in pre-engineered metal building and/or architectural design
