Job Summary
Architect leading design for transportation facilities and sports venues in the GTA. Manage a team producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings, coordinate all building disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects, perform internal reviews for BIM compliance, research materials/technologies for designs, provide technical/administrative oversight, and communicate with clients to deliver projects within cost, quality, and schedule targets. Travel to remote First Nation communities; oversight of project financials (planning, scheduling, forecasting, staffing) and collaboration with accounting. Proficiency in BIM workflows (REVIT, AutoCAD) and Microsoft 365; visualization tools (Adobe Creative Suite) are assets.
Required Qualifications
- Registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligibility to be registered
- 7+ years experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Provincial and National related standards and codes
- Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, AutoCAD software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam
- Experience with Visualization software, and Adobe Creative Suite would be considered an asset
- Experience or desire to work with Indigenous communities would be considered an asset
- Travel to remote First Nation communities and work sites
