Job Summary
Architect with 5-8+ years of experience sought for UNS Shanghai to join an international, design-oriented office. Responsibilities include working on cultural, large-scale retail, commercial or mixed-use projects; detailing and interface coordination across façade, architecture and interior elements; development of design through innovative thinking and production of shop drawings and construction documentation. Requires professional degree in Architecture, strong design and technical skills, proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite; English fluency (Cantonese preferred). Portfolio required; applications should include CV, portfolio and salary expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Bachelors or Master degree in Architecture, or the equivalent
- 5-8 years or above of experience as an architect or designer at a leading international design firm
- involvement in built projects
- Strong aesthetic sensibilities and design skills
- Proven experience in cultural, large-scale retail, commercial or mixed-use projects
- Technical problem solver with the ability to work out architectural solutions through innovative thinking
- Extensive experience with façade, architecture, and interior detailing and interfaces
- Excellent knowledge of products, materials and construction methods, especially in Asia
- Experience in writing performance specifications
- Proactive, self-motivated, and team-focused, with a commitment to continual learning and mentoring
- Fluency in written and spoken English; additional fluency in Cantonese is preferred
- Strong proficiency in Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of D5 Render is a plus
